The World Will Always Remember September 11
Canada observed the three-month anniversary of the September 11 attacks in a ceremony at the Embassy auditorium on 8:30 a.m. The U.S. National Anthem was played at precisely 8:46 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. The ceremony included Ambassadorial remarks; the playing of the U.S. and Canadian national anthems and a moment of silence. Attending the ceremony was Canadian government officials, senior Canadian military officials, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Ottawa Police and Fire Departments.
