Thanks for having me. This is my first time on Ask the White House. Im eager to chat with you today and to talk about the Administration's bold energy initiatives. For the past two days, the President has been viewing demonstrations of Alternative and Flexible-Fuel Vehicles that have emerged from Department of Energy-funded technologies and programs. I appreciate your interest and I'm happy to answer any questions you have.

I'm pleased to have the opportunity to participate in this on-line event. On January 10, the President outlined a new strategy for Iraq. On January 11, Secretary of State Rice provided further detail on how specifically we will pursue the New Way Forward along four tracks: economic, political, security, and diplomatic. This morning I was testifying before Congress on Capitol Hill, and now I will do my best to answer your questions.

Thank you for joining me today. As you may know, President Bush, Secretary Rice, and I depart tomorrow to Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, Guatemala and Mexico. This will be the President's 8th trip to Latin America more than any other President in the history of the United States. We look forward to meeting with our counterparts and discussing how we can work together to strengthen democracy and address important social issues such as poverty, inequality, and social exclusion. I look forward to taking your questions.

Thank you for joining us today to discuss the new design and functionality of WhiteHouse.gov. Let me first say that this was a complete team effort and I am so grateful to our talented and dedicated web support team for all of their efforts in the completion of this endeavor. Everyone from the graphic designers to the programmers to the server admins really pulled together to successfully launch what, at times, seemed to be an insurmountable task. In addition, this month marks my two-year anniversary as the White House Internet and E-Communications Director, and it has been an honor to serve President Bush and to communicate his message online. Now, I am happy to answer your questions.
