Moving Toward a Cleaner, Safer, Healthier Environment

Addressing Global Climate Change

Cleaner, More Efficient Energy Technologies
Energy is the vital force powering business, manufacturing, and the transportation of goods and services to serve the American and world economies. Energy supply and demand plays an increasingly vital role in our national security and the economic output of our nation. As America’s need for energy grows, the Bush Administration is meeting the challenge by developing clean fuel initiatives to make the most of traditional fossil fuels and investing in cutting edge research to identify new energy sources like hydrogen fuels and fusion technologies. In addition, the Bush Administration is harnessing the power of the earth itself to meet our energy needs. Advances in wind, hydro and geothermal energy allow us to take advantage of clean, abundant energy. Conservation and energy efficiency initiatives are also critical components of President Bush’s energy policy, helping to reduce the Nation’s need for energy without sacrifices in energy choices or the quality of life for all Americans.
