Iraqi boys and girls are excited to learn in their first year of school without Saddam.
In addition to neglect, Saddam stored weapons and artillery in many schools. Saddam’s soldiers also destroyed schools during the war as they used them as a base. Schools and other buildings were also looted.
Iraqi primary school children enjoy a new day of education in their newly rehabilitated class room.
