In 2001, President Bush launched Tee Ball on the South Lawn to encourage fitness among America's youth and promote our national pastime to people of all ages. On June 30th, the eighth season of Tee Ball opened by honoring the Latino community's many contributions to the game of baseball. The game featured the Little League Angels from Manatí, Puerto Rico and the Little League Red Sox from Camden, New Jersey.
