Placed in the State Dinning Room, the gingerbread house is a replica of the White House of 1800 when John Adams became the first Presidential resident. Original floor plans were used, but history was fudged a little to allow President Bushs pets Spot, Barney and India frolic on the grounds. Constructed from more than 80 pounds of gingerbread, 30 pounds of chocolate and 20 pounds of marzipan, the sweet home took more than three weeks to build.
