Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today named five people to serve in his Administration.

The President has named Sandra K. Evans to be Special Assistant to the President and Director of the Office of Administration. Dr. Evans recently served as Deputy Director of the Office of Administration. She received her bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and her PsyD in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology.

The President has named Jamil Nazim Jaffer to be Associate Counsel to the President. Mr. Jaffer recently served as Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General in the National Security Division of the Department of Justice. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, his JD from the University of Chicago Law School, and his master's degree from the United States Naval War College.

The President has named Karen Race to be Special Assistant to the President and Director of White House Personnel. Ms. Race recently served as Director of White House Personnel. She received her bachelor's degree from California State University, San Bernardino.

The President has named Kerrie Rushton to be Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of Strategic Initiatives. Ms. Rushton recently served as Deputy Director of the White House Office of Strategic Initiatives. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Dallas.

The President has named Heath P. Tarbert to be Associate Counsel to the President. Mr. Tarbert recently served as a Law Clerk to Justice Clarence Thomas on the Supreme Court of the United States. He received his bachelor's degree from Mount Saint Mary's College, his JD from the University of Pennsylvania, and his doctoral degree from Oxford University.
