Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate two individuals and designate one individual to serve in his Administration.

The President intends to nominate Eric J. Boswell, of the District of Columbia, to be Assistant Secretary of State (Diplomatic Security) and Director of the Office of Foreign Missions with the rank of Ambassador. Ambassador Boswell currently serves as Assistant Deputy Director for Security in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. Prior to this, he served as Director of Administration at the Pan American Health Organization. Earlier in his career, he served as Assistant Secretary of State (Diplomatic Security). Ambassador Boswell received his bachelor's degree from Stanford University.

The President intends to nominate Patricia McMahon Hawkins, of Virginia, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Togolese Republic. Ms. Hawkins, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, currently serves in the Senior Level Division of the Office of Career Development and Assignments in the Bureau of Human Resources. Prior to this, she served as the Program and Coordinating Officer for the Office of Public Affairs in the Bureau of African Affairs. Earlier in her career, she served as a Public Affairs Officer in Santo Domingo. Ms. Hawkins received her bachelor's degree from East Stroudsburg University.

The President intends to designate William W. Park, of Massachusetts, to be a Member of the Panel of Arbitrators of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes for the remainder of a six-year term expiring 06/19/08 and an additional six-year term.
