Personnel Announcement
President George W. Bush today announced that he has named three individuals to serve in his Administration.
The President has named William L. Behrens, of New York, to be Special Assistant to the President for Intergovernmental Affairs. Prior to this, he served in the Bureau of Economic, Energy and Business Affairs at the Department of State and the 2004 G8 Summit Planning Organization at the Department of State. Mr. Behrens received his bachelor's degree from Messiah College and his master's degree from American University.
The President has named Jedd Medefind, of California, to be Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of the Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives. Prior to this, he served as Director of the Center for Faith Based and Community Initiatives at the Department of Labor. Mr. Medefind received his bachelor's degree from Westmont College.
The President has named Jason Thomas, of New York, to be Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy in the National Economic Council. Prior to this, he served as an Economic Policy Analyst at the U.S. Senate Republican Policy Committee. Mr. Thomas received his bachelor's degree from Claremont McKenna College.
