President Signs H.R. 1499 and H.R. 5037

On Monday, May 29, 2006, the President signed into law:

H.R. 1499, the "Heroes Earned Retirement Opportunities Act," which amends the internal Revenue Code to allow members of the Armed Forces to include combat zone compensation in determining the allowable income tax deduction for contributions to retirement savings plans; and
