Personnel Announcement
President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate three individuals and appoint six individuals to serve in his administration:
The President intends to nominate Richard Greco, Jr., of New York, to be an Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Financial Management) at the Department of Defense. Mr. Greco currently serves as a consultant to the Department of Defense. Previously, he was Acting Director of Private Sector Development for the Coalition Provisional Authority Representative Office at the Department of Defense. Prior to that, he worked in the Office of the Secretary of Defense as a White House Fellow. Earlier in his career, Mr. Greco served as Vice President and Managing Director of Stern Stewart & Company, a global corporate financial advisory firm. He earned his bachelor's degree from Fordham University, his first master's degree from the University of Chicago, and his second master's degree from Johns Hopkins University.
The President intends to nominate the following individuals to be United States Representatives to the General Assembly of the United Nations:
Patrick J. Leahy of Vermont
John E. Sununu of New Hampshire
The President intends to appoint Lisa Kirk Colburn, of Utah, to be a Member of the Advisory Committee on the Arts.
The President intends to appoint the following individuals to be Members of the Public Interest Declassification Board:
L. Britt Snider, of Virginia, for an initial four-year term and designate chairman for a two year-term upon appointment
Martin Faga, of Virginia, for an initial four-year term
Steven Garfinkel, of Maryland, for an initial four-year term
Elizabeth Rindskopf Parker, of California, for an initial three-year term
Richard N. Smith, of Illinois, for an initial two-year term
