Statement by the Press Secretary

The United States Government strongly condemns the terrorist attack in the Chechen capital of Grozny today. We mourn the loss of life and extend our condolences to the families of the victims. The United States resolutely rejects all acts of terrorism and those who commit them. No national, ethnic, religious or other cause can ever justify the use of terrorism.
