Personnel Announcement
President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate five individuals to serve in his administration:
The President intends to nominate Dennis C. Shea, of Virginia, to be an Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (Policy, Development, and Research). He recently served as Executive Director of the President's Commission on the United States Postal Service. Mr. Shea previously served as Director of BKSH & Associates. He earlier served as a Consultant for the Project on the Independent Counsel Statute with the American Enterprise Institute. Mr. Shea earned both his bachelor's degree and law degree from Harvard University.
The President intends to nominate Mark J. Warshawsky, of Maryland, to be an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury (Economic Policy). He currently serves as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Economic Policy, Microeconomic Analysis, at the U.S. Treasury Department. Previously, Mr. Warshawsky served at the TIAA-CREF Institute as Director of Research from 1998 to 2001 and Director of Strategic Research from 1995 to 1998. Earlier in his career, he served as Senior Economist for the Internal Revenue Service. Mr. Warshawsky earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Northeastern University and his Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University.
The President intends to nominate Roger W. Wallace, of Texas, to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the Inter-American Foundation (Private Representative), for a six-year term.
The President intends to nominate Jack Edwin McGregor, of Connecticut, to be a member of the Advisory Board of the Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation.
The President intends to nominate Scott Kevin Walker, of Wisconsin, to be a member of the Advisory Board of the Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation.
