Remembering Tony Snow
President George W. Bush announces that he has accepted the resignation of Press Secretary Tony Snow and selected Deputy Press Secretary Dana Perino to succeed Mr. Snow as White House Press Secretary Friday, Aug. 31, 2007, in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room. "Tony Snow informed me he's leaving. And I sadly accept his desire to leave the White House, and he'll do so on September the 14th," said President Bush.
