President George W. Bush delivers remarks on Cuba Wednesday, May 21, 2008, during a Day of Solidarity with the Cuban People. The commemoration, held in the East Room of the White House, was held to coincide with a period in Cuban history that marks the Cuban Independence Day, the death of Jose Marti and the death of Pedro Luis Boitel, the day seeks to focus international attention on the denial of fundamental freedoms to the Cuban people.
