Where Are They Now?

COL (USMCR) Art Athens ('87-88) stepped down as Commandant of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and is the Lakefield Family Foundation Distinguished Professor of Leadership at the U.S. Naval Academy.

GEN Wesley Clark ('75-76) is President and CEO of Leadership for America, a non-profit organization headquartered in Little Rock, AR.

CAPT Phil Cullom ('94-95) is Commodore of Amphibious Squadron Three in the Pacific Fleet.

Judge Dickson ('69-70) retired from his position as General Counsel at IBM and moved to Sanibel, FL.

Tom Downs ('77-78) moved from the University of Maryland to become President of the Eno Transportation Foundation in Washington, DC.

Jim Eisenhower ('95-96) is Chairman of the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Deliquincy.

CAPT Scott Gray ('91-92) has given up command of the USS Emory S. Land and is the Deputy Chief of Legislative Affairs for the U.S. Navy at the Pentagon.

Jon Jennings ('97-98) is a candidate for the U.S. Congress for Indiana.s 8th District.

Jeffrey Kang ('94-95) is Senior Vice President and National Medical Director for CIGNA Healthcare in Hartford, CT.

Rand Kehl ('90-91) is Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Advanced Management Technologies, Inc., in Arlington, VA.

Kris Kobach ('01-02) left the Justice Department to run for the U.S. Congress for Kansas. 3rd District.

Alan S. Kopit ('87-88) is Partner at Charge of Hahn Loeser + Parks LLP in Cleveland, OH.

Peter Krogh ('67-68) was named as one of 10 Men of Substance and Style in the April 2003 issue of Washington Life Magazine.

Dana G. Mead ('70-71) is Chair of the MIT Corporation.

CAPT John Miller ('90-91) will relinquish command of the USS Constellation and will report to The Joint Staff, Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon.

CAPT Dennis Murphy ('92-93) assumed command of Submarine Squadron SEVEN in Pearl Harbor, HI.

MAJ Peter Najera ('99-00) returned from Germany and is a Pol-Mil Planner in the Office of the Secretary of Defense (European Policy).

Lee Nunn ('72-73) moved to Anchorage, AK.

Raul Perea-Henze ('93-94) is Director, Operations and Management, Medical and Scientific Affairs, for the Pfizer Pharmaceutical Group in New York, NY.

CDR Pat Piercey ('00-01) is the Commanding Officer of the USS Howard (DDG 83), homeported in Coronado, CA.

Pat Putignano ('84-85) is Manager, FSC CTD II, for The Boeing Company in Arlington, VA.

Mitchell Reiss ('88-89) was named Director of Planning for the Department of State.

Peter Rundlet ('97-98) is working on intelligence issues for the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States in Washington, DC.

Tom Shull ('81-82) is Chairman, President & CEO of Hanover Direct, Inc. in Edgewater, NJ.

David Simms ('88-89) is Managing Partner of The Bridgespan Group in Boston, MA.

CAPT John Wood ('96-97) assumed command of the 33d Flying Training Squadron at Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma.
