Vice President Dick Cheney addresses the 73rd National Convention of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, August 8, 2005. The Military Order of the Purple Heart, formed in 1932, is the only veterans service organization comprised strictly of Purple Heart recipients and works for the protection and mutual interest of all who have received the decoration.
