Vice President Dick Cheney delivers remarks to the Indiana American Legion Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007 at the Indiana War Memorial in Indianapolis. "In every generation, citizens of Indiana have stepped forward to serve America in times of peace and times of war," said the Vice President, who later added, "The United States is decent, honorable and generous - and so are the people who wear its uniform...Every day they confront the violent, protect the weak, heal the sick, and bring hope to the oppressed."
