The President's trip to Asia, Australia and Hawaii

From October 17 to October 23, 2003, President George W. Bush and Laura Bush traveled to Japan, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Australia and participated in the 2003 meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation. Meeting one-on-one with the leaders of the region, President Bush discussed the importance of security, trade and economic initiatives.
During their visit, President and Mrs. Bush toured historic sites and honored the committed service of America's allies. Returning to America, President Bush visited Pearl Harbor and paid tribute to those who served on that fateful day.
