President to Announce Re-launch of FirstGov
and Release the E-Government Strategy
What:
GSA
and OMB will host an event to introduce the redesigned FirstGov Website,
which serves as the gateway for connecting the American people with
the federal government in an easy and accessible manner. Additionally,
the E-Gov Task Force will release its report detailing the E-government
initiatives to improve government productivity and services. Additionally,
OMB will release the E-Government Strategy, the Administrations
action plan for management reforms within E-Government.

will not be accepted after 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 27,
2002. You must arrive and be cleared through the 17th
and G Street entrance of the EEOB by 12:45 p.m., at which time
you will be escorted to the event.

fax your name, affiliation, Social Security number, and date of
birth for clearance. Please fax all information to OMBs
Communications Office at (202) 395-7298. Clearance information
will not be accepted after 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, February
27, 2002. Please enter through the Northwest gate. You must be
waiting outside the White House press briefing room to be escorted
to the event at 12:15 p.m.
Where
Is the Northwest Gate?
The
Northwest Gate is located on Pennsylvania Avenue, NW in the northwest
corner of the White House complex. As you face the White House from
Pennsylvania Avenue, this is the gate directly in front of the West
Wing. (Not the gate further to the right directly in front of West
Executive Drive.)
