This
is the Final Report of the Small Business Paperwork Relief Task
Force created under the Small Business Paperwork Relief Act of
2002 (SBPRA). In an effort to reduce paperwork burden on small
businesses, the Federal government established an interagency
Task Force to study and recommend additional means of reducing
the burden on all small businesses. It contains findings and recommendations
intended to reduce the burden imposed on small businesses by government
paperwork information collection requirements. Also
linked below is a list of compliance assistance resources and
agency points of contact available to assist small businesses.
Inventory
of Approved Information Collections (updated daily) This listing includes all collections of information from the public for which a Federal agency has received prior approval from OMB, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act. An ongoing collection must be approved by OMB at least once every three years.

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued the Information Collection Budget of the United States Government (ICB) in June 2006. The ICB is OMB’s annual report to Congress under the Paperwork Reduction Act. On October 13, 2006, OMB received on a letter from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services of the Department of Health and Human Services providing a revised estimate of its annual paperwork burden. In a letter dated December 15, 2006, OIRA informed the House Committee on Government Reform that OIRA would post on OMB's website a revised version of the FY 2006 ICB on OMB's Web site that incorporates the revised burden estimate.
