  3. BILL PURPOSE: Limits the parsonage allowance exclusion in the Internal Revenue Code to the fair rental value of the home.

  4. OMB ESTIMATE: P.L.107-181 resolves a dispute before the U.S. Tax Court and clarifies that the amount of income excluded by members of the clergy for rental allowances may not exceed the fair rental value of the home plus utilities.
