  2. BILL TITLE: Acomo Indian Ownership Rights

  3. BILL PURPOSE: Requires the valuation of the nontribal ownership of subsurface rights within the boundaries of the Acoma Indian Reservation.

  4. OMB ESTIMATE: P.L. 107-138 directs the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a valuation and acquisition of non-tribal subsurface rights within the boundaries of the Acomo Pueblo Indian Reservation. Mineral interests could be acquired through either a land exchange, a direct purchase, or by using transferrable bidding credits (interest free).
