In September 2002, Kelly Kenneally was named Associate Director of the White House Fellows Program. With nearly 15 years of public affairs and communications experience, Kenneally supports Program Director Jocelyn White with program management, public relations, recruiting, and selection.
Previously, Kenneally served as Corporate Communications Director with Interland, Inc., an Atlanta-based Web hosting service provider. There, she successfully managed the company’s mergers and acquisition communications; media, analyst, and government relations; community outreach; and employee communication. She also supported customer and marketing communications for the company.
Kenneally also held positions in the Washington, D.C. offices of WorldCom, Edelman Public Relations, The American Nuclear Energy Council, Coleman Research, and Environmental Issues Management (EIM) Inc. – the environmental public affairs firm founded by Jocelyn. At EIM, White and Kenneally worked together to design and implement risk communication programs for Fortune 100 companies. After receiving a B.A. in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, Kenneally began her career as a legislative assistant with the Maryland General Assembly.
