Mrs. Laura Bush and daughter Barbara Bush visit the Lower East Side Tenement Museum in New York City, Friday, Oct. 24, 2008. The tour led by the museum's Vice President of Public Affairs, Mr. David Eng. Mrs. Bush said that it is important for all Americans to remember where we have come from and reflect on our history. The museum received a Preserve America Presidential Award in may and was awarded a National Medal for Museum and Library Services last month for its work in helping to preserve the immigrant history that shapes our country.
