President Bush to Welcome President Alan Garcia of Peru

President Bush will welcome President Alan Garcia of Peru to the White House on December 14, 2007. Peru is a staunch ally of the United States and has demonstrated unequivocal support for democracy, human rights, and the expansion of economic opportunity in the Western Hemisphere. The President looks forward to signing the implementing legislation for the United States-Peru Trade Promotion Agreement passed by Congress. President Bush and President Garcia will also discuss a range of issues, including how like-minded countries can work together to better promote democracy, human rights, and social justice.
