Mrs. Bush's Remarks at the 2007 National Prevention and Health Promotion Summit

First Lady Laura Bush meets today via video conference with Cuban independent librarians Noelia Pedraza Jimenez, Roberto de Miranda, Iraida Rivas, and Nereida Rodriguez and her daughter Yurisel. Mrs. Bush spoke of her admiration for the work of the independent librarians in Cuba who provide a source of uncensored information to their countrymen at great personal risk, and expressed solidarity with them and their cause.
