Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate one individual to serve in his Administration.

The President intends to nominate Ed Schafer, of North Dakota, to be Secretary of Agriculture. Until recently, Mr. Schafer served as Chief Executive Officer of Extend America. Earlier in his career, he served two terms as Governor of North Dakota. Mr. Schafer received his bachelor's degree from the University of North Dakota and his MBA from the University of Denver.
