Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to designate one individual and nominate one individual to serve in his Administration.

The President intends to designate Craig S. Morford, of Ohio, to be Acting Deputy Attorney General at the Department of Justice.

The President intends to nominate David T. Johnson, of Georgia, to be Assistant Secretary of State (International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs). Mr. Johnson currently serves as Deputy Chief of Mission at the United States Embassy in London. Prior to this, he served as United States Coordinator for Afghanistan at the Department of State. Earlier in his career, he served as United States Ambassador to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. Mr. Johnson received his bachelor's degree from Emory University.
