Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced that he has named one individual to serve in his Administration.

The President has named John G. Emling, of Maryland, to be Deputy Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs. Mr. Emling currently serves as Special Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs. Prior to this, he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs at the Department of Treasury. Earlier in his career, he served as a Policy Analyst on the Senate Republican Policy Committee and Chief of Staff to Congressman Eric Cantor. Mr. Emling received his bachelor's degree from Villanova University.
