President Signs into Law H.R. 1675 and S. 1104
On Friday, June 15, 2007, the President signed into law:
H.R. 1675, the "Preservation Approval Process Improvement Act of 2007," which suspends HUD's electronic reporting requirement regarding filing of previous participation certificates, and eliminates the reporting requirement for certain low-income housing tax credit project investors,
S. 1104, which increases temporarily, from 50 to 500 during each of FYs 2007 and 2008, the number of Iraqi and Afghani nationals who may be admitted to the United States as special immigrants after having worked as translators and interpreters with the U.S. Armed Forces or under Chief of Mission authority.
