Statement by the Press Secretary
On Friday, June 1, 2007 the President signed into law:
H.R. 414, which designates the facility of the United States Postal Service in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, as the "Miguel Angel Garcia Mendez Post Office Building,"
H.R. 437, which designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located in Rio Grande City, Texas, as the "Lino Perez, Jr. Post Office,"
H.R. 625, which designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located in Baldwin Park, California, as the "Atanacio Haro-Marin Post Office,"
H.R. 1402, which designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located in Lecanto, Florida, as the "Sergeant Dennis J. Flanagan Lecanto Post Office Building," and;
H.R. 2080, which amends the District of Columbia Home Rule Act to repeal the provision of the District Charter placing the D.C. public schools under the control of the Board of Education.
