Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate one individual to serve in his Administration.

The President intends to nominate William G. Sutton, of Virginia, to be Assistant Secretary of Commerce (Manufacturing and Services). Mr. Sutton most recently served as President of the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute. Prior to this, he served as Commander of Amphibious Group Two in the United States Navy. Earlier in his career, he served as Commander of Naval Base Pearl Harbor. Mr. Sutton received his bachelor's degree from the United States Naval Academy and his master's from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
