Mrs. Bush to Welcome Mrs. Putina of Russia to National Book Festival
Washington, D.C. -- At the invitation of Laura Bush, Mrs. L. A. Putina, spouse of the President of the Russian Federation, will travel to the United States to attend the White House opening ceremony of the National Book Festival on Saturday, October 12, 2002.
Also taking part in the ceremony will be Dr. James H. Billington, Librarian of Congress; Jerry Stackhouse, Washington Wizards basketball player; Mary Higgins Clark, mystery writer and Luci Tapahanso, poet.
What: Mrs. Putina to join Mrs. Bush at the opening ceremony of 2002 National Book Festival
Where: The White House - South Lawn
When: Saturday, October 12, 2002
Ceremony from 8:45 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.
