Mrs. Bush's Remarks at National Day of Prayer
The East Room
Thank you very much.
Thank you very much. I'd like to share with you a Psalm that has special meaning in my life, and which speaks volumes to many us during difficult times:
[Mrs. Bush Reads Psalm 46]
These words give us hope and confidence by reminding us of God's infinite strength. My husband and I find strength in the word of the Lord, and we realize the power that prayer has in our own lives.
I am truly blessed to be married to a man who is strong enough to bear great burdens, and humble enough to ask God for help.
Ladies and gentlemen, my husband, President George W. Bush.
