Statement by the Press Secretary
Visit by Prime Minister Sharon of Israel

President Bush will meet with Prime Minister Sharon at the White House on May 7 to discuss developments in the Middle East and key bilateral issues.

The President looks forward to reviewing regional and bilateral issues with Prime Minister Sharon, including the war on terror and the Israeli-Palestinian situation. The Prime Minister's visit also provides a timely opportunity to explore ways that Israel, the Palestinians, and Israel's Arab neighbors might move further down the path to peace.
