Claire Stoner grew up outside of Baltimore, Maryland, and graduated from Towson State University with a degree in art education. Upon graduation, she became a high school teacher and devoted her free time to teaching art to her friends' and neighbors' children. Mrs. Stoner's talent has given her the chance to participate in numerous local art shows and community fairs. She has also donated pieces of her art to charity.
When presented with the opportunity to design artwork for the White House, Mrs. Stoner saw a chance to bring joy to many children and adults at the beginning of a new and hopeful spring season. "In the wake of recent events, it takes on a new meaning to be able to be involved in the celebration of the greatness in America."
