President Signs Recess Appointment of Deborah Matz
President Bush Signed the Recess Appointment of Matz to be a Member of the Board of the National Credit Union Administration

President George W. Bush today signed the recess appointment of Deborah Matz to be a Member of the Board of the National Credit Union Administration.  The President announced his intention to nominate Ms. Matz on January 4, 2002, for the remainder of a six-year term expiring August 2, 2005.

Ms. Matz is currently the Executive Officer of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.  From 1997 to 2001, she was the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Administration at the Department of Agriculture. Matz has a B.S. from Cornell University and a M.S. from George Washington University.
