  • A high rise apartment building has 4 elevators. Each elevator travels upward at an average rate of 18 feet per second. There are 12 feet between floors in this building. Suppose you get on the elevator on the first floor and travel straight to the fiftieth floor without stopping. To the nearest second, how long will in take to travel from the first floor to the fiftieth floor on this elevator?
