U.S. Army Spc. Luke of 3rd Platoon, A. Company, 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, renders first aide to the hand of a baby who was brought to him during a patrol in a neighborhood in An Najaf, Iraq, on April 19, 2003. During patrols assessments are conducted and recorded that will help improve the quality of life for the citizens; patrols also deter the enemy. Spc. Luke, also known as "Doc", of the 101st Airborne (Air Assault) Division deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multinational coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass destruction and end the regime of Saddam Hussein. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
