Mrs. Laura Bush and children from the Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Elementary School (P.S. 153) and the Boys and Girls Club of Harlem do a 'soil sampling' as part of the First Bloom program at the Hamilton Grange National Memorial in New York City, Sept. 24, 2008. The activity helps children learn about the characteristics of local soil and thus the kinds of plants best suited to the area. The park is the historic home of Alexander Hamilton. |
