Women parliamentarians have come to the U.S. to meet with members of Congress. Hundreds of midwives are being trained to help reduce Afghanistan's high maternal mortality rate. Micro-credit loans have been extended to Afghan entrepreneurs. Afghan women manage community banks, and attend graduate-level business seminars in the United States."
