The funds address an agency, Department, OMB, and Congressional priority to control major forest pests and pathogens to ensure healthy forests. Funds help support two science projects, NRS 4506 and NRS 4509 ($244,000), as well as scientists at Ohio State University (about $150,000) through a cooperative agreement.
