Description: The funds were provided as direct pass-through to The Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group (HCSEG), with a portion retained by the Service for technical assistance. The Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group (HCSEG) used the additional funds for the operation and maintenance of salmon hatcheries that are used for fish rearing; for design, engineering and construction of habitat restoration projects; and for local scholarships and internships for students to work on projects.
