Description: This was awarded as an augmentation to an existing cooperative agreement NNL04AA00A in the amount of $992K to the Virginia Air and Space Center activities related to science and engineering research in the area/field of Aeronautical Engineering. The mission of the Virginia Air & Space Center is to preserve and interpret national achievements in air and space exploration and development and to stimulate interest in the sciences through entertaining interaction with educational exhibits, programs and films. The Center features extensive aviation and aerospace exhibts which include a stunning collection of aircraft and space artifacts, an exhibit on regional history, and ample space for changing exhibits and educational programs. The Center also features an IMAX Theater that extends the visitor's experience with a variety of compelling and educational films..
