Description: This award was under a Space Act Agreement (NCA1-02001) with the National Consortium for Aviation Mobility (NCAM). NCAM was awarded $496K (post recission amount). Under this effort Michigan Small Aircraft Transportation Systems (MISATS) will create XML Web Service W3C (World Wide Web Commission) standards for the public domain, for low bandwith aviation applications. Additionally a demonstrater will be prepared for the SATS Public Demonstration in Danville, VA showcasing a low cost solution for situational awareness, when compared to competeing solutions. MISATS has partnered with Microsoft who is providing R&D software licensing to include software with engineering support.
