Description: George Washington University, in collaboration with research and school safety partners (subcontractors) located at Morehouse School of Medicine, Shenandoah University, Street Law, FCCLA and the Trauma Center at JRI, will develop interventions for middle and high school youth that will be tested in rural and urban schools. The program goals will advance the use of evidence-based practices by conducting research and evaluation, and providing dissemination and technical assistance services for middle and high school youth in rural and urban schools on topics ranging from School Resource Officers to Civics. The program's strategy is to increase the capacity of administrators, teachers, and other practitioners to make use of violence prevention evidence-based practices. Hamilton Fish Institute (HFI) will report on performance outputs such as total service hours, types of agencies requesting assistance, participation rates, primers, and new best practices. HFI will collect and report performance measure data such as number of visitor sessions on the web site, documented change in student behavior/school performance, customer satisfaction and identified strategies by TA recipients. Data findings will be reported to OJJDP in the grantee's Categorical Assistance Progress Reports.
