Description: The World Golf Foundation will implement three components to its First Tee, Life Skills program that provides inner city youth with a learning experience which promotes character development and nine core, life-enhancing values (responsibility, sportsmanship, perseverance, confidence, judgment, honesty, respect, courtesy and integrity) through golf. Additionally, the youth will learn resistance skills as apart of the Life Skills program. The World Golf Foundation will provide performance measures on three goals 1) establish at least 40 new chapters serving over 31,000 youth, 2) increase the number of children participating in the National School Program by 20% and 3) issue a research report that will show the effects of the life skills program has on the participants.
