1 recipient will receive $740,000. This is a continuing earmark.
Year Enacted: 2005
Code: 74
Description: The proposed initiative seeks to maintain outcomes of the Families and Schools Together (FAST) program while reducing intervention costs; refine a quality assurance structure of trainers, manuals and checklists to ensure fidelity of local replications; and integrate results of new brain research and randomized controlled trials on FAST towards program reduction of violence, aggressions and family conflict. This work will be achieved as the program 1) monitors and implements multi-hub FAST with parent leaders in Milwaukee inner city schools; commissions a cost-benefit analysis; and expands national dissemination partners; 2) integrates lessons from practitioners into training materials; creates constituent feedback forums through a national conference and a National FAST Advisory Board; and 3) shares the results of FAST history, multi-hub evaluations, and a sustainability study in publications for consumer/parents and professionals.
