Description: The American Camp Association-New York will implement its S.C.O.P.E. (Summer Camp Opportunities Provide an Edge) in thirty nine camps in New York targeting 11-13 year old youth to achieve the goal of preventing underage drinking. The American Camp Association- New York will conduct camp staff training and workshops for the campers by providing interactive presentations with the objective of enhancing the youth's resistance skills and to improve positive self esteem, social skills, physical and thinking skills and spirituality. The American Camp Association will develop three individual assessment tools to determine outcomes that will focus on improved attitudes towards the dangers of alcohol use.
